Core Curriculum

The classes at Briercrest do more than just meet degree requirements; they teach you to be a thoughtful, Christ-focused leader. All of our degree programs have a core curriculum—a group of required courses from a variety of academic disciplines.

At Briercrest, we recognize the inter-connectedness of knowledge. This is why, in addition to a significant number of Bible and theology courses, students are required to take courses from liberal arts disciplines like English, Philosophy, the Social Sciences, Fine Arts, and Mathematics. These courses complement the study of Scripture and are taught in an environment that takes the intersection between faith and academic discipline seriously.

The core requirements for the Associate of Arts degree follow the same principles and pattern as that of the baccalaureate degree, although in modified form. Students who take an Associate of Arts degree at Briercrest will be able to seamlessly continue their studies toward a BA degree.
