Interprovincial

Pleaser refer to the Admission Requirements page for an explanation of the "academic" and "other" courses you'll see referred to below.

British Columbia (and Yukon)
  • Students must have a Dogwood Diploma (Yukon Secondary School Graduation Certificate) with:
    • a minimum average of 65 percent in five approved courses (3 academic, 2 other approved)
    • must include at least one academic English course (either English Studies 12 or English First Peoples 12 with a minimum grade of at least 60%)
Alberta
  • Students must graduate with an Alberta High School Diploma with:
    • a minimum average of 65 percent in 5 grade 12 courses (3 academic, 2 other approved)
    • must include English 30-1 with a minimum grade of 60%.
  • "Academic" courses are defined by their "30-1" designation. Courses designated 30-2 or 30-3 are not accepted as "academic" except under special or unique circumstances. Exception of Math 30-2 is considered academic.
  • Some "Other Discipline" Gr 12 courses require 5 credits per discipline to be considered.
Saskatchewan
  • Students must have a Transcript of Secondary Level Achievement with:
    • a minimum average of 65% in 5 grade 12 classes (3 academic, 2 other)
    • must include either English A30 or English B30 with a minimum average of 60%
Manitoba
  • Students must have a High School Statement of Marks with:
    • a minimum average of 65% in 5 approved grade 12 courses (3 academic, 2 other)
    • must include English 40S with a minimum grade of 60%
Ontario
  • Students must have an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) with:
    • a minimum average of 65% in 5 grade 12 courses
    • 3 of these grade 12 courses must be in academic subject areas, at the U or M level (must include ENG4U with a minimum grade of 60%)
    • 2 of these grade 12 courses can be in other approved subject areas, at any level (U, M, C, etc., but preference will be given to U courses)
Quebec
  • Students must have a Secondary School Diploma and at least one year of CEGEP completed with a minimum average of 65% from CEGEP.
  • Students who have completed a two-year CEGEP program may be eligible for transfer credit.
New Brunswick
  • Students must have a High School Diploma with:
    • a minimum average of 65% in 5 grade 12 courses (3 academic, 2 other)
    • must include English 122 with a minimum grade of 60%
Nova Scotia
  • Students must have a High School Graduation Diploma with:
    • a minimum average of 65% in 5 approved grade 12 courses (3 academic or advanced, 2 open)
    • must include English 12 academic or advanced with a minimum grade of 60%
Newfoundland/Labrador
  • Students must have a High School Graduation Certificate with:
    • a minimum average of 65% in 5 grade 12 courses (3 academic, 2 other)
    • must include English 3201 with a minimum grade of 60%
Prince Edward Island
  • Students must have a High School Graduation Certificate with:
    • a minimum average 65% in 5 grade 12 courses (3 academic and 2 other)
    • must include English 12 – ENG621 with a minimum grade of 60%.
Northwest Territories
  • Students must have a Senior Secondary School Graduation Diploma with:
    • a minimum average of 65% in 5 grade 12 courses (3 academic, 2 other)
    • must include English 12 with a minimum grade of 60%.
