GLST 200 Intercultural Communication
This course is a study of the principles of social anthropology and cultural dynamics as they relate to establishing cultural contact. Within this setting, discussion focuses on developing effective strategies for understanding and communicating across cultural barriers.

GLST 301 Globalization
An exploration of the phenomenon of globalization in terms of current realities of economic integration, geopolitical shift, and cultural transformation. The diverse theoretical interpretations of these global changes as well as their implications for Christian mission will be examined.

GLST 412 Global Studies Internship
The Global Studies Internship allows students to begin the process of integrating classroom learning with field experience under the supervision of qualified and experienced mentors.
Note: The BA Intercultural Studies degree requires the completion of a degree-specific internship or cross-cultural experience. All internships or required cross-cultural experiences need to be approved in advance by the program coordinator. The internship program is offered to college students who have completed 60 credit hours or more and have been accepted into the degree program.Prerequisite: Permission of the Intercultural Studies coordinator

GLST 418 Global Studies Seminar
This course will provide students with an opportunity to engage with and contribute to the interdisciplinary task inherent to Global Studies. Students develop and present their own research, seeking to integrate insights from two or more of the following areas: the history of global Christianity, the social sciences, current reflection on the practice of cross-cultural Christian witness, biblical and theological studies, and/or personal participation in an extended cross-cultural experience.
